“I can see the light, and I will see it!

Nancy Sanchez

There are so many new things, Father- new paths to take when those upon which I have traveled seem worn out, new understandings too, which help me to make new decisions. And with faith reborn, I find new ideas with which to conquer goals worthy of full effort. There are so many new things, Father- and there is still so much more!

A new start appears for me every time the sun comes out at the time you appoint for it, and every moment of every day I am one with you, the source, the omnipresent power… that teaches me to walk full of faith- and shows me that we are reborn each time we remember and ask for the right that we have to Miracles!

The path of miracles will be my decision to not wait in time any longer than is necessary; to return to that place in my mind where all this is already over, where the world has already ended and where we are reborn one with God, with the universe, and with our brothers.

The most credible part of the incredibleness that I have lived so far is realizing that all that we search for in this world- the desires we have, the relationships we set up (as couples or as friendships), social recognition or prestige- everything- absolutely everything without a single exception- are a tireless search for the love of God. We unconsciously seek to substitute the love of God  (which we thought we had lost when we projected this illusion) with all that exists in this world. This senseless search does nothing more than lead us to frustration, or into the relentless race to find that which can at last make us happy. In this way we attach ourselves to people, things, goals, relationships… because we want to find the illusion of love in the world that we created, in order to hide the truth of what we are when we recognize ourselves as united with the creative source of all.

I remember when I tried to make things happen, to control and engineer my life. I thought that if I knew what lay around the corner in my life, I would feel safe and secure. Then God told me “Unless mystery is part of your life, then I am not a part of your life, because I am mystery”. I had thought that God was mysterious, but I had never thought that he was mystery. And that’s the revelation through which I discovered that divine mystery is the marvelous power of God.

Biblical passages show us this: when the Red Sea opened, the Hebrews were full of amazement, when the water flowed from the rock, when Jesus multiplied the five loaves of bread and two fish, and when he resuscitated Lazarus, the people were speechless. In each of these events, there was mystery, and the activity of God was overwhelmingly present.

The same things happen in our lives when we allow our plan to be substituted by God’s plan, where the possibilities are infinite and where the terrestrial loses all meaning before the loving presence of God. When we follow God’s plan, it manifests itself in a mysterious and miraculous way, and we can feel how the graces of God are expressed every day, hour after hour, moment to moment. And as I recognize more and more that I have a right to miracles, my mind opens to this new reality. The more I refer to the light within me, the more powerfully does it shine in any darkness, and bring a new revelation of my spiritual capacities. And a new understanding!

There are moments in which I feel I can’t face life, the responsibilities, and the disappointments. However, in such moments, I can ask for a miracle that fills my mind with light and reminds me that, “I can see the light, and- I will see it!” Jesus faced all the difficulties that the world could offer, and I remember the powerful words “I am the light of the world” and “you are the light of the world”. He showed us that we can choose to focus on the light, or on the darkness.

Everything that Jesus did and said proves the consistency of his decision. In the middle of confusion, he continued to choose the internal conscience of divine light, and as a result the emotional storms and the disturbances of the world gave way to peace. All conceivable human difficulty surrendered before the light that shone through Jesus Christ. Neither the infuriated multitudes, nor the individual expressions of hate, nor even physical force could imprison or destroy the presence and power of the light, the focus of the mind and the heart of Jesus. Nothing, absolutely nothing, can hinder the flow of good when I remain firm in my unity with God. And that certainty is what allows me to declare that…“I can see the light, and -I will see it! Thank you Father.

With love, Nancy.
